Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a Basic Business Plan and an Advanced Business Plan?

A Basic Business Plan is a shorter document (i.e. 15 pages) covering the essentials for any business to think about and get on paper before opening. This includes things like the Company's Mission, list of Products and Services, and a quick analysis of the target market and competition. The Advanced Business Plan is a longer doucument (i.e. 30-50 pages) covering everything from the Basic Business Plan but going into more detail on some subjects and adding additional subjects such as financial plans and forecasts, a startup schedule and initial thoughts on a marketing strategy.

What is included in a Style Guide?

A Style Guide is a simple but essential document summarizing things like your brand's colors and fonts to create a consistent presence across all your custom content such as your web page, social media posts, newsletter emails and even physical paper products such as posters. Detailed Style Guides can be a 100 pages going into excruciating details such as how logos are used on different media but our Style Guides are typically only 5-10 pages including some example usage and a few other details that may come out during client conversations to get captured.

What is included in a Marketing Strategy Document?

A Marketing Strategy Document is a document forcing you to think out some key details for your business marketing strategy such as who is your Ideal Client, what are your three Brand Focus Words and what is your Core Marketing Message? Thinking through these concepts as a team and getting them on paper will help target the right customers when advertising and will help keep a consistent online presence.

What is the difference between a Logo and a Wordmark?

There are several types of logos such as Monograms, Wordmarks and Pictorial marks but we usually recommend creating both a Logo and a Wordmark to our clients. Our Logos are symmetrical fitting into a square or circle which is essential to fitting within most mediums such as social media platform frameworks. However, in our experience there are many situations that a Wordmark works better such as when building a banner that is much wider than tall. Having both better prepares you for a consistent image across many different usages.

Why do you include services such as writing a Business Plan and Filing for LLC? Most Branding and Marketing companies don't seem to offer these services.
